Does anyone know what those black cylinder things are on the front wheels (attached to the rotor). I am trying to put new rims on and these things are in the way? Back wheels go on no problem, front ones, I am scared to break those things off...

My truck is a 1999 4by4 XLT...the rims I am putting on are the 2009 factory Y-spoke. Please let me know if you have an answer to the question.

    Welcome to the site!

Are the black cylinders attached to the caliper and the braking system?
