Removing rear view mirror 2000 Ranger

I am in the process of doing the OHC, auto dim auto lamp mirror and lighted visor mods my question is I have never seen a rear view mirror that did not have either a setscrew on the bracket or just slide on, mine has what looks like a three piece cover a bottom section, mid with a round head pin of some type and then a top section. I am not stupid just baffled as to how this comes apart did not do any prying as I do not want to break the windshield. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My truck is equipped with the factory anti theft system would that explain it or has the mirror been replaced it has the day night feature. Sorry no pictures too dark. Truck is a 2000 Ranger XLT Ext cab with 3.0 V6 5 speed
