Q: rear trans seal, '99, easy?

Have slight leak on '99, V6, 3.0. Easy to change out? What should I expect to pay good shop?

Likewise.... Pep boys up my way charges $88 an hour, while Kost charges $111 an hour. The private garages I go, usually charge what it's worth, not by the hour; and the other charges I believe $40. But they're so damn busy all the time that it's hard to get an appt. I personally have never done one, but I heard they're a bit of a pain. (But that's from halfass/weekend mechanics called friends lol) Good luck to ya!

If it's the tailshaft on a 2wd. you can do it yourself. Very easy job

X2 I've changed them on other trucks. It shouldn't be that hard on a ranger
