97 2.3 have no code and low idle miss and stall when you let off the throttle and get back on the throttle in between shifts.
Here's what I've done.
New air filter
New motor craft platinum plugs
wires.
Swapped coil packs from a donor truck
New intake, iac, throttle body and egr gaskets
Swapped IAC from donor
Swapped maf from donor
Nee PVC
New fuel filler hose
New fuel filter
Swapped intake air control sensor from a donor
Checked everything for vacuum leak
Purchased torque pro and adapter but I dont know if I'm missing some with the info its giving me. Anyone see what I'm missing?

...man, 152K. That's the good ol' days for my '98. ( ;) )
Tell me, Terry. Drive your truck much?
Some guys, they drive it all the time. Other guys, feel its more of a "tool" and they only use it when they need it.
I noticed some similar problems with my truck back when I got it, but I drove it anyway. All the time, as it was my only vehicle back then.
After a few years, I noticed it kinda "mellowed out" and became easier to drive and shift.
Doesn't stall at every light anymore, shifts a little easier, idles a little smoother, etc.
I recently picked up another vehicle and the truck doesn't get driven ALL the time anymore. In fact, I let it sit for a few weeks, maybe more than a month, and those problems all started to rear their ugly heads again.
These days, I try to split the duties between the car and truck. As long as I drive at least once or twice a week, it seems to be ok.
Might be your fix, might not, but food for thought anyway.
Good luck.

I bought it that way last winter had a bad auto transmission. Swapped it to a 5 speed as I had a 97 donor truck for all the parts.
Had to swap driveshaft
Ecu
Engine and transmission wiring harness
Pedals
And all that good stuff
Paid $500 for the truck
New clutch and pressure plate and nickles and dimes every since.

You've made some major alterations. I'd start with checking all the wiring connections you changed.
Often times, the devil is in the details.

Might check and see if that year has the egr valve my 1994 does problems sound really similar soaked and cleaned egr problem gone
