My idling weirdness.

    Okay, so it usually only happens when I first start my truck up in the morning or when it's just really cold outside. But if I sit and let my truck idle when I first start it, it'll idle high. Around 2500rpm. Then it'll drop down to normal, then raise back up again and then it'll just go back and forth between the two pretty quickly and make a wom wom wom noise.

    I am stumped.

    I have to say its the idle air control. Check it, clean it or replace it

    That's the thing... we did replace it.

    might not be related but my old bmw used to do the same thing.. check all your fuses; sounds stupid but that's what my problem was. There were two fuses that ran the fuel pumps and one was blown..

    Clean your MAF and throttle body.

    And btw, Your sig says 4.0L OHC....its actually OHV as in Over Head Valve :)

    It's probably the MAF. I need a new one, I cleaned the throttle body already.

    Thanks for pointing that out. I musta hit the c instead of v.
