Looking for info on a 2006 Seat Upgrade

I've just purchased a 2006 XL 2.5 liter regular cab Ranger, a great truck. The only down side is the driver's seat. The cushions (particularly the back rest) are pretty flat and it's fairly uncomfortable.

I'd like to upgrade the seats, prefderably to buckets of some type. I've seen a fair amount of info on this, but it seems to apply to mid-90's (or earlier) Rangers, haven't found anything for a 2006, So:

1. Are there other vehicles I can use the seats from for this model year and cab? Explorers seemed to be the most common donor for the earlier models.

2. Are there any vendors who sell seat upgrades?

3. Even if I stick with the original seats (or an OEM replacement), is it possible to modiify the seat mounts such that I can move the whole seat assembly back an inch or so? At 6' tall even an extra inch would make the truck more comfortable.

Thanks in advance for any assistance and information.

Ohhhh. 6ft and no extended cab.....lol. im 5'9" and those are tiny for me. Lol. Yeah what mhoward said or buy an extended cab.

Don't know that the extended cab would make any difference. The seat will still only go back so far from the steering wheel.
