fog lights 2006 ranger sport

purchased above lights for replacement on my ranger. lights will not fit because of different bracket on lights but lights for 2005 will fit. What could be this reason. db
 
04 and 05 had different brackets for sure. Best bet is just buy the proper ones on ebay, they are pretty cheap.
