New to this. I have a 1995 ranger xlt 2.3 and My dome lights and cargo lights won't go off when I close my door. Any suggestions for a fix?
 
it probably one of a couple of things... the door ajar sensor could be dirty and causing it not to work or the sensor is just went bad.... you can try taking some wd-40 and spraying in the latch really good and opening and closing the door a few times to see if that fixes your problem if not im not really sure what else it could be...
 
Most likely the door switch... the wd-40 in the mechanism will usually get things working again.
I lost count of how many times I had to spray mine to get the dome to go off.
