Black sheep o' the family
In the past 3 months I've completely rebuilt the top end of the engine, COUNTLESS freeze plugs, a radiator, egr, brakes, etc.....and now today I hear a massive knock in the bottom end of the engine! :furious: Im pissed that they've spent all that money on it only to have the engine take a **** (it hasnt yet, but I know its gonna)

It's a '97 Splash 2wd with a 4.0 Auto....200K on the odometer etc....It might be up for sale here soon if anyone wishes to buy it....both sides of the bed is F-ed up, body panels dont match, one door is power, the other manual, mirrors dont match...etc.

I paid $3200 for my truck. The third day of owning it, the bolt holding the fuel rail snapped and broke the rail while I was driving, which sprayed gas everywhere, almost igniting. I took it to a family mechanic who found that everything on the engine was loose. So he took it apart and put it back together for $550. The day I got it back I was driving when it began to knock really loud and buck like crazy. So I took it apart down to the bare block and found that there were deep scratches in the cylinder wall, the piston was destroyed, the pillar for the rocker was bent and I had a cracked valve. I contacted the guy who did the work and he came out and looked at it and he wouldn't take any responsibility for it. So I spent another $1500 for a new motor. After all that I have had to replace damn near every part under the hood.
