Hey all, I used to own a 2001 Ford Crown Vic (love those cars) and I liked the climate control interface on that way better than the classic three nob setup. Has anyone got any idea if those can be swapped?? They look to be about the same size although I don't have the car anymore and I'm going off dead reckoning ha. Thanks for any input!

Welcome to the site, please make a signature so we know what truck you have so we can lend the best advice. I think that may be doable...You have to check the rear plugs to see if they match or maybe even splice them if you can diagnose the wiring. I know crown vics faceplates are similar enough to fit the face stickers like our rangers have.
I did this swap. Its not to hard. Easier if you want to just make it manual (NON-auto climate control) This way the wiring is simple.
I am looking to do the auto-climate control, sounds like it's just wiring then, with some modification to the faceplate? interesting, now I have to get my hands on this ETAC
Some Exploders have them. There was a write up somewhere on how to do it. Maybe I can find it somewhere
well, for a full system install there are several sensors you will need to get. you also need the fan speed controller from the few year exploders only. other cars with it have a different fan motor style and would be a big job to modify it to fit. you will need the blend door actutator. It will fit right into where your current hvac controls are.
