Body lift or not

So I have a 3 inch body lift for my 94 ranger 2wdin drive of corse I'm going for the look not too concerned on the whole why lift a 2wd thing but anyway I was wondering would this ruin the truck by that I mean body mounts because obviously when breaking the body will shift forward just wondering if there is anything I can to to prevent something bad happening. Also I'm thinking of getting a locker for the rear end would my little 4 Banger handle this or no?
 
Welcome to rf.net first off. As for the BL, it won't ruin the body mounts. And as long as the bolts are tightened down sufficiently there shouldn't be anything bad happening once it is put on
 
Well thank-you I wasn't entirely sure I'm only 17drive alot to learn yet but I have it at school in our automotive shop just replaced shackels on it and this week I'm lifting it so ill have some updated pictures on here soon thanks
 
No problem. I know the boat you're in man. lol On here, you'll learn anything and everything you want to know. Definitely get some pics man!
 
Well that's good to know haha and will do I have 2a now one of what it looked like when I got it and the other is what it looks like now about a week or so ill have the picture with the lift on there too
 
Yeah one of my moms friend s has a jeep wrangler but anyway he has some 31 bfg all terrains that he said he would give me I don't want anything much bigger I think I would have trouble turning 33s haha
 
That's what I was thinking too I like the looks of your truck I'm excited to get mine done now I was looking at rims in jegs also and found a set of black wagon wheel looking ones I'm debating on getting not sure yet though
 
just an fyi, your 2.3l wil have a lil trouble turning 31's. it will work but it will be more of a dog than it already is lol

i know this cause i had a 2.3l with 3.73 gears in the back and trust me that thing just has trouble turnin the stock 27" tires LOL
 
Mine can too lol. Itll burn both tires all day... til you get up to speed. I feel like Iv gotta keep pushing the pedal further down just to get caught up to traffic
 
That's just because you're already going so fast. My truck even has trouble with it on 31s. Even the kota with the V8 318 has a little lag. But not as much lol
 
When I had a wild hair there for awhile to sell the Ranger, I was wanting to get a Dakota with the 360 lol. That wouldnt have any problems merging into traffic!
 
Yeah I'm not real concerned about going fast and the 2.3 is a dog no doubt but for now I'm worried about looks eventually I was planning on dropping a small block in it I just need it to and from work and school now its no race for either one haha but when I get some money saved up I want a newer ranger anyway and the 94 is gonna be a wheeling rig I'm thinking of putting the body on a 4wd frame and maybe a 351 ill worry about that when the time comes
