im thinking of getting some new seats for my truck since my console is basically broken. its bent down and touching the seat. so what do you guys think are the best 60/40 seats. i would like to do the bucket seat but i like the option to put two people in the cab. im thinking of the 2002 style seats with the grey inserts.

how are they for back support? i have a really bad back and it starts to hurt after sitting for long period of time.

the grey/black ones that came in my 05 were comfy as hell! they were the one piece back with the tall attached head rest. i could drive 12 hours and not be sore. now my expo buckets kill me after only a few hours. stupid idea to sell them...

Ridiculously good. Nice and stiff, not marshmallowy at all.

These came in 04+ Rangers. I got a sweet deal on mine, $28 for the set but then I paid Clinton $50 for the center console because they didn't have one with them.

i like those seats im not sure if they will bolt up into my 97 if i get a set from a standard cab. i wish i never bought these seats but i was tired of sitting sideways. i should of gotten those 02 seats at the junkyard.

Take a look here. You might be able to find a set from a standard cab. If not, just swap rails out and you should be good to go.

you got those for a freaking STEAL
No kidding lol

i'm jealous. i need to go to the big yard, but it's an hour drive from me. they have tons of rangers and cheap prices, i need to get a 60/40 again

Here is my Seat story.
Swapped a set of Explorer Buckets for a set of what I think or want to think are FX4 Bucket Seats.
After taking out my '03 60/40 setup and wondering what method and tracks to use with my std cab I started looking and found that the seat tracks on my 03 60/40 and the buckets I swapped for would unbolt.
I started by taking apart the 60% side of my EDGE seats, first the Console, then the back and finally the tracks and found that the Console support unbolted and the track not only unbolted from the 60% side but also bolted in the Buckets I had, sweet find.
Wham Bam thank you, I now had a bucket seat that bolted directly back in my std cab EDGE.
I went to the passenger’s side and took that seat apart the same way and pulled the track from my std cab seat and was going to put them directly on the bucket that I got in the set but noticed the seat base was damaged. A little further investigation found that the seat base was the same for the 40% side and both Buckets seats and that the holes for all of the levers are on both side of the seat pan.
What did this mean, it meant that I could use my lower milage seat, the 40% bottom on the bucket seat that was going back in my truck.

So where is this going, simple put the passenger side seat, that is part of the 60/40 set is a std bucket seat AND if you have good seats already and want inexpensive buckets you could find another good passenger side seat and swap the tracks, wham bam you got a set of bucket seats for short money.

Make sure your seat track unbolt, as my 2003’s did, and the seats you buy have the same configuration and color as the ones you have and you get a set of bucket seats for the price of one passenger seat.

Sorry if this has been talked about before but I found it interesting.

i have very similar ones in my 02 and the angle of the head rest is awesome, and the sides of the seats kinda wrapped around the sides of you are good to
