98 Ranger 5.0 swap

I have a 98 Ranger, 2 wheel drive, 5 speed with a V6, 3.0, and am thinking about swapping it out with a 5.0 engine. What would be the best engine to use, and does anyone have any tips on the swap?

Turns out its a '95 truck, but other than a little different sheetmetal, everything else should be pretty much the same.
