My 93 Ford Ranger I will be driving down the road and it will just stall I pulled over start it and it starts right back up drive for a little while longer and it will start again pull over and I will start back up what would the problem be
 
I would begin by performing basic diagnostics. Check ignition (plugs, wires, etc.), fuel system (filter, lines, injectors and such). Give it a thorough check over first to eliminate things; then go from there. I know this is pretty vague, but I am not familiar with the early 1990's Rangers.
 
A fuel pump relay will do this. Mine would shut off. I could wiggle the relay and hear the pump pick.
Jump back in and drive away. It might run for weeks before it did it again. The relay is in the fuse box
under the hood driver side.

Exact problem my '93 had, found the offending connector, gave it a cleaning, some bends and a squeeze, popped it back in and it still drives down the road just fine to this day. Well, not including the tranny, it still whines, very faintly though.

There is a black plastic thing by the rad that when gets to certain temperature may cut out when it cools it will work again it about 2inches by 4 inches by 1/2 inch thick .

You mean the Ignition Control module? I thought that would stay fairly cool for it's location and from what I read, this is an instant restart after pulling over. Unless something is wrong electrically with it. I know something in it gets hot electrically, mine had some bubling in the plastic on the corner.
