How do you determine which bolts go into water jacket?

Head bolts are all the same. They reccomend you to oil the bolts that go into the oil passages and use a non hardening silicone on the water jacket ports.

Thank you! I figured it out before I got your reply, and I finished replacing head gasket and unfortunately truck is still overheating, possibly cracked block?? So it's back to the garage and driving my wife's truck (while she seethes) until I figure out what to do next. Thanks again.

Is it leaking anything? If it is, check ALL of your freeze plugs. They are known for rotting out.

If it's not, I'd replace your thermostat and check if your radiator is plugged.
