2011 Ranger Trouble Refuelling

When I go to put fuel in my truck, I have to push the nozzle in very hard and hold it just right. 12,000 miles, has been doing this since new. Is this common?
 
My truck is the same way. Certain gas stations have the rubber tubing around the nozzle and sometimes that causes it. If you hit an older station where its just the nozzle without the tubing see how it does with that.
