Last Sunday I rear-ended a Tundra at about 15mph bending down his bumper and causing $3900 damage to the front-end of my 4 cyl Ranger.
The following described brake issue was checked-out by the dealership a couple of years ago, and I was told all was well. Here's the best I can do to describe it:
Despite having ABS, when I slammed on the brakes they felt as though it was an old vehicle that had air in the lines or brakes that needed adjusting. I just "glided" right into the Tundra as though the brakes were ineffective. No ABS pulsing at all, just a smooth glide. My wife was passenger and said, "It felt like your brakes weren't working properly.
Has anyone had low-speed brake issues like this or awareness of ABS problems at all?
