fuel inertia switch

About a week ago I took my ranger off roading and ended up triggering the fuel inertia switch to turn the fuel off. Ever since that day if I take it over 4000 RPM's it triggers that switch again causing the whole car to turn off, then I have to reset it. Any suggestions on what I should do??
