4x4 problem 4wd stuck in 4wd

I have a 2004 ranger4wd auto trans 4.0 engine. I use it for snow plowing. I don't drive it much so it sits. Left it in 4wd last fall and it will not shift out of 4wd. I've read some of the forums on repairs. Fuses are good under the hood and at passenger fuse panel . I DON'T hear a click...
