oil use thanks i'll check it out

I have a 93 4.0 its using a Quart of oil about every 1000 miles!. it dont leak it dont smoke or blow oil, tail pipes dry only 144,000 on motor........... any ideas?????

i got a 93 4.0 uses a Quart of oil in about 1000, miles only has 144,000 thou.. it dont blow it out tail pipe of smoke when going down rd or when ya let off the gas... also its not leaking............. any ideas????????
