I don't put them on any tighter than it says, 3/4 of a turn after contacting the surface. Maybe a smidge more if it feels to loose.

I'm sure not gonna have a show truck, lol, and I'm also cheap, but it's hard to find 14" tires to fit on the stock rims anymore.

Yeah, even though with help it only takes 10-15 min or so it's a hassle.

Took the stock 14" steelies off and put on some 15" Jeep rims with 225/75/15 tires on that I got off CL for $150.00. The front 2 are about 75%. The back ones are about 50%.
