Emilie's Wrangler has the same Issue with the spare overtaking the rear window, she learned to use her side mirrors really quickly ;)

I have no idea in terms of price but I hope you arent too tall. I sat in an 87 and at 6"2 my head touches the ceiling a lot, I wouldnt be able to drive it comfortably, so take that into consideration.

I've always wanted a 60s-70s era muscle car or truck, but I think what I might do is drive the ranger as my DD for now and then eventually mod it out into a muscle truck (once money permits). I know its ranger and its not designed to go fast and I am well aware of the 302/351/4.6L swap options...
