Put two new upstream 02 sensors in, as well as took the t stat out as it wasnt working. Made it a whole new truck. Idles pretty, runs well, the trans shifts funny but I think it needs a solenoid pack. Overall impressions so far, Its a stock explorer motor in a ranger. Its better than my 3.0 but...

Well its got another fuel leak. I replaced the injector o ring but must not have seated an injector properly or something. This leak is way worse. I'm almost wondering if the system can handle the psi my pump puts out?

    98 ranger 5.0 swap

Its not that impressive? lol. It looks like it does under the hood of an explorer. On a sad note I have a fuel leak that kinda stops this dead in its tracks. So tomorrow I will get new injector o rings and redo it. Should be rather close to driving it after that

    98 ranger 5.0 swap

This swap is pretty straight forward actually. Being an 01 you are bolt in mostly. Little wiring crap and some custom exhaust. Ideally I will have it there for the september 1st pa meet

Found a 98 mountie with 99 and up stuff on it at the jy yesterday. So I grabbed the air box And kind of just snooped around it and saw how it all worked. I couldnt remember how the vacuum lines went. Ok so here is a wiring run down. You have to mesh ranger and explorer. Its really easy...

I gave up at about 1030 when I got invited to go out the bar, Ended up out boozing till about 630am so today is...
