    2001 XLT 3.0 V6 Automatic 4x2 hard shift between 1st and 2nd please help!

Sounds like it needs the fluid changed and maybe the valve body cleaned On that note talk to who rebuilt it. They might have some insight and even better a warranty with it?

There should be a schrader valve (looks like a tire valve stem) on the fuel rail somewhere. Thats where you check pressure at

Im guessing by fire you mean spark? Ok does it have fuel? Being an 86 im thinking its carb. So can you watch fuel go through the carb?

Truck wants to die when I hit the gas

Glad its fixed! Id still look for a vacuum leak. A back fire isnt normal and will only get worse

Truck wants to die when I hit the gas

28 seems rather low. It should be 40 or so? As far as the miss I would look for a vacuum leak. A backfire is a dead give away of a vacuum leak. Could also be the fuel pressure issue

New here and have a question

No problem. There is a fellow on here who is a wiz with seats. He is selling some mustang buckets in the classified section. Shoot him a message and ask his opinion. He would probably know what factory parts to get to do what you want

New here and have a question

I think you are into custom work here. If the truck were a super cab (guessing its not being 4 cylinder and 2wd) you could put explorer power seats in that can raise up. You can put them in a reg cab but it takes some fab work on the brackets

Truck wants to die when I hit the gas

Can you come on the throttle slowly and let it build up rpm or does it not matter how fast/slow you hit the gas? Id check your fuel pressure. Im not great with gas engines, more of a diesel guy myself but I will help ya as best I can

    New Seats??

provided its a super cab then explorer/mountaineer seats bolt in. You will need to do something for a center console though

    99 Ranger won't move

it wont move even in neutral? if so you have the brakes locking/something in a differential holding it, or something in the t case. Try jacking up the rear axle and seeing if the wheels will spin

    Open chat thread

I may check it out next year, I just hit the truck show cause the Powerstroke forum I am on has our own tent and whatnot

    98 ranger 5.0 swap

So I finally did the 4406 manual t case swap, found out if you get the rear driveshaft off of a regular cab short bed F150 with the 4406 manual case that that shaft will fit our rangers? I never read this before anywhere but for giggles I tried it. Darn thing fits in there pretty well. I have...
