starting issues On this particular vechicle, very cold mornings presented starting issues. All systems were functional however would not start. Mechanic friend informed me even though it is fuel injected, trumping on gas pedal after 3 or 4 tries should enable it to start. So that is the technique I used and it now starts. Didn't realize you could do this technique which is same as a carborated engine. maybe this will help others with same issue. thanks for the feedback.
If hitting the gas pedal was suggested by a mechanic, could that indicate more of an issue of not getting enough air into the upper plenum while its cranking...? If so...I would lean toward the MAF sensor being a little dirty, its quite easy to remove and clean
Using the Original key? This model come with chipped keys. There is also a Inertial safety switch on the passenger side kick panel, make sure it is reset.
