I need to replace the cruise control switch that is located on the right side of the steering wheel. I can see the two screws holding the switch in place. They are located under the steering wheel padded cover that covers the air bag and horn switch, but I cannot reach them. Does anyone know how to remove this cover? I don't see any visible screws or other fasteners.

There should be two screws right behind the both switches on the steering wheel and then the airbag and horn should come out. Atleast thats how it was on my 99.

On the back side of the steering wheel crossbar there are one on each side plastic plugs. Pop them out and the screws for the air bag are under them. Before you do this disconnect the battery and wait about five minutes before you do it. That way the airbag won't accidently go off. I ve changed mine twice. Take your time.
