hey guys my differential blew out on me this past week and i have been calling around nobody has what i need i found one but it has 9 inch brakes and my truck has 10 inch brakes and that is my question how would it hurt the truck and stopping power to switch from 10 to 9 inch breaks or would it be possible to keep the axles and drums i have and just switch them over both differentials are 8.8 with a 4.10 gear it is just the brakes in question that are the problem. any thoughts or help would be great guys thanks.

well thanks a lot guys... i've found that the axles have the same size so they can be enter changed even if they are 9 or 10 inched. the axles them selves can be enter changed with a differential that is the same ratio and size.
