I am only the second owner. I bought it from the original owner who still had the window sticker, and complete maintenance receipts and log. When I got it the odometer had 128,000 original miles. No rebuild or any other major repairs.

Since buying the only thing I've replaced is the starter.

It sat unused from June 2 of this year until about 2 weeks ago. The coolant leaks out pretty quickly and in reading about possible sources of the leak I've come across something called the "water jacket."

What is the water jacket and where is it? Is it called something else? I searched for this on autozone.com and found no results.

I've started this thread asking about the water jacket, but it's not about that; it's about the coolant leak and I'll ask more questions concerning this issue and we'll work through it together...I hope. :) And I HOPE to fix this issue quickly and get my baby back to par!!!

    Thanks folks!

Oh! BTW, it now has 232,000 miles on it and it runs great. This summer I'll be doing a ton of work to it. The interior is okay, not nice and not super ratty. The paint outside is really bad with rust in several places on the hood and top of the cab.
