Cleaning automotive carpet

The carpet in my jeep is pretty dirty. It looks like the previous owner spilt coffee all over the passenger side. Eventually I am going to pull out all my interior and get new seats and a center console bracket. What do you guys use to clean carpet while it is still installed in the vehicle?

I rented a shampooer specifically for vehicles one time, that worked good. I've also used Blue Coral upholstery cleaner

bissel 'lil green works ok, i've used my buddie's a couple of times. dunno if i would buy one but if you can rent something like it cheap (or better yet borrow one) i'd reccomend it.

I've used simple green full strength for stains like soda & stuff... seems to work pretty well.
Spray all over the affected area, brush in to loosen the stain, wipe off with clean rags or paper towel.

Also tried some foaming spray carpet cleaners, they work ok but leave a "chemical" smell that takes a few days to leave where the simple green has a nicer aroma.

Next time I get around to doing a full "spring cleaning" I'm gonna look into DJ's hot water extractor though.... now where can I find one of them suckers?

thats not that bad. eventually ill be ripping it out and bedlining the whole interior. once i figure out some kind of heat insulation to put on my trans tunnel.
