Ok I have a 94 ranger 2.3 manual tranny. My problem is that it idles like its missing but revs up fine. Then u drive it and for awhile it drives fine then it has a major loss of power when u putting power to the wheels. still revs up fine it jus sounds awful. Now I didn't notice the problem until after I charged the ac since I have cleaned the egr valve and still nothing checked fuel pressure and its good. Don't have any more money to blow on it.

I had the same truck and it was bad plugs, wires and coil pack. Have them checked before you get into the bigger stuff

Already have changed plugs and wires. Coil packs are fairly new as well

As Hooligan said, Check them out and see, sometimes newer plugs will not fire under pressure of the cylinder.

Coil Packs have been known to fail.

Do a double check just to make sure things are happening the way the should be.
