Which 5.0L Ranger Engine Harnesses Used ?

If and when you did your 5.0 Ranger setup, what harness did you use ?

I need info on After Market Harnesses, Ford, RJM, Painless, Ron Francis, any others that are out there ?

You experiences with them would be great or just you knowing info would be helpful too !

id imagine it would depend on which 5.0 you use as well. if you use and explorer 5.0 i believe you use the same harness. and i think it just plugs right in to the ranger end.

I think you are right on that 6.2 but I was hoping to get some info on aftermatket harnesses.
Some say use the Ford EFI Harness and some say RJM, then there is Painless, Ron Francis and some other Mustang Companies that have their own brands or the same ones with their names on them.

RJM stuff is nice and I have looked at it, they have a sensor and computer kits to add to the harness, everything you need. they also sell all of the Ford Connectors, I was under the impression that Ford didn’t let that info out but times they are a changing.

I am doing a stand alone setup, the engine ECM will be separate, new gauges, manual trans and T/C, so all I need is the engine controls.

Maybe I should have put that in the first post… better late than never.

Anyone care to comment on After Market Harnesses ?

what manual trans are you using? i've read of a bunch of guys doin the 5.o swap, but they always do an auto trans because of compatibility issues i guess?

Not the usual setup a 5.0 based on a '93 long rod Stang motor, mod'd, an NV4500 trans and an 4.3 AtlasII for the T/C.
OEM engine Mounts but the T/C cross member will need to be fab'd up.

i am currently doin a 5.0 swap from a explorer to a 95 ranger and the explorer harness matches right up to the rangers
