Hey guys, glad to be a part of the forum.

I'm not new to modifying cars, but new to my truck. I've decided to put an aftermarket cruise control on it, and looks like this one seems to be the one thats recommended: http://www.redline360.com/rostra-universal-aftermarket-cruise-control-250-1223

Has anyone installed this, and do you recommend it? Is there anything I should look out for? I've modded cars before and can probably figure this out, but is this something I can probably installed myself?

I'm going to get this switch also: http://www.redline360.com/rostra-cruise-control-switch-left-hand-250-3742 but don't think I need the clutch disengagement switch, doesn't seem like it's required.

hopefully someone who's done this can chime in, and if anyone has a DIY on this, it would be even better.

    thanks guys

never done it myself, My brother was planning on doing it in his chevy, but he never did as his commute went from 1.5 hours highway, to 5 minutes highway lol.

but, i've hear of people doing it with good success. sorry I can't be of more help.

I got the parts used and put a oem Ford one in. Some trucks are prewired. The wiring is probably the most difficult part. I don't think there are that many needed wires.

Ive changed out the 4a fuse under the dash....but still cant find the culprit.

Any chance you could loan out that "Cruise Control Tester"?
