im trying to decide how i want to paint my interior. i pained my radio bezel blue but im not sure if i like it. im debating i want to keep painting it blue or go black. if i were to do it blue i would do the radio bezel, handle bezels, mustang dome light, and ohc when i eventually do it. if i were to do black it would be all the same parts except in black. im also thinking about recovering my headliner in black. thanks for any help all opinions are appreciated. heres some pics of my interior is now.

I like the paint job on the bezel. My thing is I like to keep the stock colors on the interior, maybe repaint them the same color adding a metallic paint and clear coat. I DO like that blue bezel you did though, looks nice!

I say leave it alone, painting plastic sucks, you have to be carefull with it afterwards
leave it you will thank me later lol

as Clinton said the bezel is nice but when you go to painting the dash and all I would never do it

If you want to do the inside, just do the handle bezels, radio bezel, those kind of things, I really dont recommend doing the whole interior if thats what you are talking about

i would never do the whole interior. i would screw something up. i would just paint parts that i can pull out. like the bezels and such. i need to redo my radio bezel though i messed up with the paint and it bubbled and looks bad on most parts. the hard thing about doing the blue is that its tough to find one that matches my interior. i tried using duplicolor but it didnt come out well on my dome. i think ill try to do the bezels with a can of adhesion promoter.

I thought you were wanting to do the whole thing dash and all. Way to Scare an old guy. lol def. get pics!

haha sorry for the confussion. if only i was 18 and didnt have to deal with the stupid law that i can buy cans of pressurized stuff at all.

looks good how you have it man, imo less is more but here and there like you wanted wouldnt be bad. but with painting plastic like that could suck later like said before.

Honestly, the dash isn't that hard to paint. I took the vents, radio bezel, and the speedo bezel out. Then, I papered and taped the windshield and holes and went to town. I just did it black because the green was horrendous but it looks decent, I'll get a pic.

Anything new happening to the interior…

What color is it now ?

I am trying to get a matted silver finish done but not having a lot of success.
I wanted the Radio Bezel, the door handle area and the Cup Holder done but not getting there very fast.

It's the same as it is in the picture. I'm going to replace my radio bezel with a new black one.

I like your paint job but the BLUE tend to REALLY stand out… !

The black OEM color will match and blend in but it is as all others are…

Have you thought about a dark silver like the FX4 LvL IIs; that is IF you want to sand and repaint ?

luck on it !

I am on a hunt for the actual LvL II Silver Color but have had no luck finding it.
The guy art the Body Shop Supply House suggest I bring the silver Radio Bezel and get a picture taken with their paint machine camera and the computer will spit it out in spray can for me.
Sounds good BUT and there is always a butt… no one has one that I can take to the Paint Store.
They are the hardest thing to locate and to ask someone to take it off… NOT ! Maybe they can take a picture in the truck.

I had the paint shop take a picture of my truck paint when I had the bed painted and the paint turned out almost a perfect match so it could work.
While I was there I ordered a darker titanium paint, we will see.

I know OLD THREAD…
mcdonald58,
How is the painting project going, did you decide on the final color ?

I am headed to the Paint Store today and picking up a new SEMS color, a lighter gray titanium, it is less than a semi gloss but not completely flat; hoping for the best.

I can't find the Silver of the FX4 type so I am trying to get a color that just looks good.

I will paint up the radio bezel and install it as you did just to get a feel for it.

Will post a pic for you when it is done if you want it ?

I sold my truck with the armrests black and the bezel blue. So I won't be doing anymore painting projects on the truck.
