Ive been looking for a toolbox for my steppy. I dont want the style that sits inside the bed. I want the style that outside edge sits on top of the bedrails. Anyone know where I can get one at? Thanks

Thanks for the link. Will it fit with a drop in bedliner or do I have to do some trimming? Thanks

  5. will fit just fine, that is the one I have in my truck with a bed liner,
it is not a low profile .

I kinda wanted to get a low profile one so what you are saying is the LP one wont fit with a bedliner? Can you post a pic of yours in your truck for me?

If its an over the rail tool box it will fit with a drop in bedliner. I believe Craig was just saying his isnt low profile. Pretty much any over the rail mount tool boxes for midsized trucks will fit your truck. drop in bed liners get tucked under the rails so its out of the way so you should be good to go.

Good deal. Now a couple issues I need cleared up on. What are the differences between an xlt stepside a splash stepside and the edge stepside? Im not understanding for example- will use the toolbox. "will fit an edge stepside but not an xlt stepside"

  9. it will fit all stepsides, as far as the low profile, mine is not . The link shows pictures of a LP box, it is not .
I have to say most midsized boxes do not fit as they are wider and will not fit in between the bed .
it looks like amazon lowered the price since I bought mine , as I paid 283.00 shipped now they show it for 267.00 shipped

The Edge, splash, and XLT are just model names for rangers. All stepside from the Splash to present day stepsides are all the same size as far as the inner bed. Example: I have an 01 stepside, I bought a tailgate from an older splash and it was a direct swap. I believe the frames for the 93-97 spalsh models were a little different, they can fit on newer trucks but may not line up with the cab. Member Drppdyllwrngr is pretty much the man with the bed fittings for those years if you need any further help with that, but thats my run down and experience!
