    no it wont

  6. No louder. Get a Flowmaster 50 series or 80 series if you just want a mild increase in sound.

As said in another post above, yes you can. Requires a Y split after the muffler. But in the end it'll cost you far more than any gain.

Absolutely not. The muffler controls tone, sound, and loudness. I suggest going to a local exhaust shop for a custom bent up system. Something like a Flowmaster Super 44 with a single inlet/dual outlet and dual tailpipes. That's what I'm running and the entire system from the last cat-back, and it ran me about $250 including muffler.

I agree with the single in/dual out muffler. You can get a good chambered one from Summit for $30

Summit Racings y pipes are expensive... theyres are $25 plus $10 handling fee...

  13. They're expensive because they're good quality, not crappy cheap metal.

You're very limited since you're trying to reuse the stuff muffler and it's sizing. Why you want to reuse stock muffler is beyond everyone here. We don't even know anything about your truck....generally stock piping is 2" or 2.25".

Please create a signature giving us a little bit of info about your truck(year, engine, trans, 2wd/4x4, trim package, modifications, etc). Help us help you!!

Like I said above, you're limited in options because of the stock sizes and what you're trying to accomplish. Most the good looking and the correct Y-pipes are far too large for stock piping...use of those will require possible over expanding of the tubing to make work.

I still vote for a complete new cat-back system with a better muffler. Custom bent and hung by custom exhaust shop.

That isn't really expensive at all...

In my eyes it is lol. Im a tight ass. I spent less money on my muffler!

Anyways, I agree with what everyones sayn on here. Your stock muffler will do you zero good. If your gonna spend the money to run a y-pipe, might as well spend an extra $40 for a good muffler
