Hello, I have owned my ranger for about a year now and love it. Just recently I have noticed a chattering noise. The noise only happens when I am around 50-60 MPH.
otherwise I can only hear it click once or twice when I am shifting. The noise is not constant either, but is worse when I'm accerating around 50-60.
    Thanks for any help,
    Joe

I had a similar issue years ago with a chevy and it was a throw out bearing. Welcome to the site

  4. My dad's old Dakota used to do that all the time. It was just his valves chattering. The truck ran for over 100k with it doing it. Is your oil full?

I will definitely look into the throw out bearing. I think the truck still has the original clutch kit, so it probably wouldn't hurt to look into it. As for the oil it is full and is changed every 3000 miles, I'm kinda ocd about maintenance:) Thanks for the help so far!!!

  6. Okay, good luck!
