i've got a 99 ranger 4x4 extended cab and i'm looking at putting a 3in body lift on it. to anyone who has done this before, how easy was it? where did you get hung up? and how long did it take? I just recently took the box off to remove rust and it was almost imposible to bolt the box back down because the gas tank was in the way of one of the bolts. Did anyone else have a problem with that?

I myself have had no experience in the body lift sector. I have heard from others that put them are greatly pleased when it is installed but the installation of the lift is quite a booger. However here is a great site that goes over all of the bugs that you may encounter while putting the body lift on. Check it out...http://therangerstation.com/tech_library/1998_BodyLift.html

Hope this helps ya man. That site is full of Ranger tech dating back to the 80's, good stuff!

Its tough if you never did it before. Forst time I did one was my truck and 2 other people most of the problems were rusted on bolts, we ended up torching them to take them off
