Well after an 80$ service bill I am a little more broke, smarter, and dumb. I did feebly complain about the poor ergonomics of the ventilation control panel with only 2 positions saying "AC" though. It's wasting fuel to run the compressor when not needed and the fuel economy is bad enough...

My 2010 Ranger air conditioner compressor runs in almost every ventilation switch position. Doesn't have to be the "AC" or ""Max AC" position. Dealer says this is normal. I say BS. If it's normal why have an "AC" position on the switch? Any ideas?
