I did pull a uhaul trailer full of furniture through the hills in NC from SC to Michigan... with a 4 cyl ranger and a bumper hitch. It was a trick but I did do it. If you are mildly concerned about fuel mileage and you only pull on flat roads the 4 cyl will do it. As above though I recommend...

Was looking at search rankings and found this place! I have 2 X 2000 rangers, one DD 4WD, one RCSB 2WD with a 5.0 not on the road yet and a 99 I'm putting a motor in to sell. Both the 2000's are amazon green my favorite color. I also see one member here who probably thinks I am stalking him...
