Fog lights on a 2009 Ranger

If you need help, let me know. I also made an additional mod that allows my fog lights to be on with my high beams. There is no need to add an additional swich to make the foglights work

Fog lights on a 2009 Ranger

Vista Blue here. My truck did not have foglights but was wired for them. A bit of a trick to get them to work after you install them yourself. but it can be done. Dont go through the dealer though, that's the expensive way!

    no heat

My quick reply was assuming that the radiater was full. If the fan is blowing it is not a fuse, check the flow valve and vacuume line as described.

    no heat

You didn't say year or model. but there is a vacuume controlled valve on the heater hoses leading from the engine to the heater core. Check to see if the vacuume line (or cable) is broken. the valve may also be stuck. It is usually located on the passenger side under the hood

    Does anyone else have this?

Have you run a carfax report. It should show if the vehicle was repaired under an insurance claim

Fog lights on a 2009 Ranger

I just replaced my 97 Ranger with a 2009 model. I purchased the vehicle from dealer stock and it had everything I wanted except fog lights. I bought the lights, a new headlight switch, and a relay and installed them. They did't work. Went to the dealer and he told me he needed the build code...

    Considering a Ranger, Opinions?

A Ranger is a good choice I cant speak for the V6, however I just replaced my 97 with a 2009. The 97 had 303,000 miles, it was a 4 cyl 4x2 and saw some places usually reserved for a 4x4. used no oil, was still a good grocery getter. Was very happy with it. It was still getting 27 mpg
