I think it has something to do with the switch i'll see if I can pick one up at the junkyard this weekend

It always worked fine up until a week ago, and since i noticed it i have tried to engage it a few times with no luck. And it has manual hubs, sorry for the misunderstanding.

Hey guys, maybe somebody can help me out here. I have a 1994 ranger 4.0 automatic with hubs and push button 4x4. Last week, the truck went into 4x4 fine, then when i tried to use it yesterday it wouldnt go in and i have no idea why. Hopefully someone can help me out here.

pull the door panel and use a long flat head to tap the motor a few times. happens to me a lot. try not putting you windows all the way down. when ya do, just tap the button and bring em up a hair. this should stop the motor from seizin up. when yer hittin the motor careful ya dont miss and hit...

i just filled a hole about the size of a softball in my bed corners with bondo. just filled it with foam insulation. works if ya need a quick fix. my inspection was about to run out
